The court ruling between SM Entertainment and group JYJ (Kim Jaejoong, Kim Junsu, Park Yoochun) has been postponed.
The ruling in regards to the exclusive contract lawsuit was originally scheduled to take place at 10AM on July 19th at Seoul Central District Court, however the ruling has been postponed and will now take place on August 10th.
JYJ first filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment in 2009 claiming that their contract was unfair (Exclusive Contract is Invalid) and a claim for damages. This caused SM Entertainment to file a countersuit and make a claim that it was a fair contract. They also wanted compensation for the damages that the three JYJ members caused to SM. On May 15th, SM Entertainment's counter-suit was dismissed. Now, we're at the point where the courts will rule upon JYJ's first lawsuit (Exclusive Contract is Invalid) and damages against SM Entertainment which was rescheduled to take place on August 10th.
If JYJ wins this case, SM Entertainment will have to acknowledge JYJ as an official group apart from TVXQ.
With the recent change in court date, fans are now even more eager to find out if the battle between JYJ and SM Entertainment will finally be able to come to an end next month.
