On the July 3rd episode of SBS' 'Strong Heart', Boom shared that he is preparing for a comeback as a singer.

The entertainer announced, "My album will be released in the second week of July. This will be Boom's eighth challenge." He added, "It has been decided that the song [I will be coming back with will be titled 'Play Hard'], as it will give energy to the weary people of the nation."

To raise anticipation, Boom continued to reveal other artists who have helped him with his title song: "While Dynamic Duo's Gaeko wrote and composed the song, Baekdoosan's Yoon Hyun Sang recorded the guitar music."

At this announcement, 'Strong Heart's host Shin Dong Yup jokingly replied, "Boom pursuing music is like me going into business." His comment evoked laughter, as it is known that Shin Dong Yup was met with failure after entering the shoe production business.
