Singer and actor Jang Geun Suk used informal Korean to give a fan a witty response.

On May 9th, Jang Geun Suk posted the above photo (left) and wrote, "The reply of a prince."

The photo revealed a gift from a fan and a note that read, "Jang Geun Suk, you are always proper," in honorific Korean. Jang Geun Suk then hand wrote a reponse at the bottom of the note saying, "I know," in informal Korea.

From a Korean perspective, Jang Geun Suk's answer could come across as rude when taken out of context. Fortunately, Jang Geun Suk's fans knew that this his intention was not to disrespect, but rather just a playful way to respond to a fan.

Followers commented, "As expected, Geun Suk is the best. He never lets me down," "In some sense, it seems like you are being arrogant, but it also seems like you are being friendly," and "A personal reply via Twitter... The fan who gave you [the gift] must be really happy."

Jang Geun Suk is currently starring in the KBS drama 'Love Rain' alongside Girls' Generation's YoonA.
