Cube Entertainment artists, 4minute, B2ST, and G.NA, completed their 'United Cube Concert' in San Paulo, Brazil. On December 13th (local time), the artists performed for the 2.5-hours long concert at the Espaco das Americas. This concert was significant in that it was the first ever K-pop concert in South America. 4minute kicked off the show with "Muzik" and then greeted the fans in Portuguese, to which the fans responded, "I love you! I love you!" in Korean. G.NA, who had personally collected song requests from fans through SNS, performed Rihanna's songs "Take a Bow" and "Rude Boy" receiving enthusiastic cheers from the audience. Last but not least was B2st, who performed "Shock", "Soom", "Rainy Days", and "Fiction" in addition to other songs from their albums. Fans were seeing singing along with tears in their eyes throughout the performances. 3,500 fans who had gathered from all over South America started lining up in front of the concert venue in the morning even though the concert did not start until later in the evening. The line stretched on for 1.2 km and police had to help organize the scene for people had crowded the roads nearby the venue. The fans performed dance covers of the three artists, and held online fan community gatherings as well. Jovana (15) from San Paolo started lining up for the event at 7 AM with her friends, dressed in clothing with the words "I Love Cube". She stated, "I have a lot of interest in Korean music and culture, so I look up stuff quite often. B2ST receives a lot of compliments on their performances, but I think what is most appealing about them is that they possess the vocal abilities and the ability to express themselves, which are needed to deliver the message of the beautiful lyrics." She continued, "I hope B2ST, who has traveled a long way, can enjoy themselves during their first concert in Brazil like they have expressed." Jenato (27) from Rio de Janeiro took charge of renting a big tour bus to transport 82 fans from the Rio de Janeiro area to the concert through Facebook. She and the others also wore matching uniforms that stated "United Cube" as well as preparing Brazil flags and other presents for the Cube artists. After witnessing the concert, she stated, "Each Cube artist have their own individuality and color, however they share the common trait in that they are all able to show off their distinct charisma and know how to make the stage their own. I think many fans in Brazil have been shocked by today's performance. The energy exceeds what we have seen through music videos or shows. I believe that this performance will be the starting point for other K-pop stars' venture into South America." The creator of Brazil's biggest K-pop online community site sarangingayo.com.br, Nattalia Park (24), stated, "We conducted a research on Sarangingayo and found out that 93% of K-pop fans who visited the site were Brazilians who were not Asian... The audience present today, who were also mostly [non-Asian] Brazilians, already knew the songs of 4minute, B2St, G.NA and enjoyed the performances - evidencing a high level of loyalty." This concert was held in joint with CJ E&M, who has created a global concert brand called 'M Live' to bring K-pop concerts to various cities all over the world. 4minute's HyunA commented, "I was surprised that people from the opposite side of the globe loved our music and performances. I'm happy that I could show K-pop to such country of passion for the first time, and take with me the good energy I've received." 'United Cube in Brazil' is receiving much spotlight in Brazil. Brazil's Globo TV's 'Fantastico' aired a special on the concert, and the locals have been praising the performances. [gallery]
