Ever wondered which celebrities were blacklisted by broadcasting stations KBS and MBC? A list of celebrities forbidden to make on-air appearances was revealed recently, shocking many netizens on the names they found there. Congressman Kim Jae Yoon from the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism revealed that according to the inspection of the administration documents he's received, there are a total of 23 people on KBS's blacklist, and 31 people on MBC's. 18 celebrities are forbidden to appear on both stations, including MC Mong, Lee Sung Jin, Shin Jung Hwan, Kang Byung Gyu, Lee Kyung Young, Joo Ji Hoon, Lee Sang Min, Jung Chang Geol, and Yeo Wook Hwan. The reasons for the bans include 12 cases of drug abuse, 8 cases of nudity, 4 cases of gambling, 3 cases of rape and sex scandals, 3 cases of stock manipulation and embezzlement, 2 cases of drunk driving and hit-and-runs, and 2 cases of theft. MC Mong is the only celebrity listed for dodging his military service. Congressman Kim Jae Yoon stated, "MBC has not submitted their finalized list of banned entertainers, so in reality, there is expected to be even more... Banning an entertainer's appearances are controversial because it may violate the constitutional right of freedom of expression. MBC needs to re-evaluate their rules of barring an entertainer from making a broadcast appearance." Stay tuned for more updates on this controversial list. Source + Photo: Naver
