The cameramen for SBS's "Running Man" have been earning the attention of viewers and netizens alike for their important role in the hit variety program. Unlike the cameramen on other programs, the "Running Man" crew must literally run all program long. Ever since viewers began catching brief glimpses of them running side-by-side with the celebrities, the cameramen have become star figures on the show. In fact, they're not just secondary staff members; they're critical players who sometimes work with the castmates, or against them. SBS's "Entertainment News" went on set to meet these special staff members and found Ryoo Kwon Ryeol, famous for being Yoo Jae Suk's cameraman. When "Running Man" first began, he had to endure criticisms because he wasn't able to keep up with the slimmer gagman. After losing 8kg, however, he found no problem in keeping up with the crew while holding a camera, and remains very much an important figure to Yoo Jae Suk's success. To the cast of "Running Man", the cameramen have become a hyung or dongseng, someone that they can't imagine being without anymore. According to cameraman Kim Kijin, "We spend a lot more time with the cast members on 'Running Man' and it's vital for us to be in sync with them, so it's easier for us to get closer compared to other programs. The members take care of us well and often ask if we're tired." Check out the program's next episode at 5:10 PM KST on March 27th. Source: SBS Entertainment News via Nate
