Recently, various Korean media outlets reported that popular "Superstar K2" contestant John Park had signed with major entertainment company Sidus HQ. Yet an individual affiliated with Sidus HQ contacted Newsen on November 2nd, and asserted that the news was not true - if anything, it was a rumor. The individual explained, "The rumors and reports of John Park signing with Sidus HQ are completely not true. Although it is a possibility, we have never spoken to or met John Park ourselves." Individuals affiliated with Mnet also spoke out about the contracting rumors, saying, "Although it is true that major entertainment companies gave love calls to John Park, none of them have ever held a meeting with him before." When asked about John Park, Mnet stated, "John Park's entertainment company problems will be addressed slowly one by one." Mnet then moved on to discuss their future plans for "Superstar K2:"Just because the show 'Superstar K2' ended, it doesn't mean that all activities have stopped. We plan to release an album including all of the Superstar K members and continue with television activities." Meanwhile, John Park plans to appear on Mnet's 'M! Countdown' on November 4th, so be sure to look out for this awesome vocalist!
