These days, many young singers and actors are showing off their talents on-screen, and idols seem to be getting younger and younger. Perhaps you've wondered, they've found careers apt for their talents, but do they have time for education? The youngest idol sextet, GP Basic, has an average age of 13.5. The members include sixth grader Janey and five other members in the eighth grade. There is always criticism that they have given up their education too soon, but some share responsibilities. Leader Hannah of GP Basic described her group's study habits, saying, "We usually bring our study guides or homework and ask each other questions. We also ask our teachers." Young stars who are able to study like this are at least a little bit better off. However, many singers and actors in training must skip their classes and spend the majority of their time at acting schools and practice rooms. It is understandable that these young artists choose to do this because they have found what they are apt for at an early age and want to develop their talents through experience in the entertainment industry. However, they may not be able to adjust to society later on if they cannot receive normal education and time with their peers. Recently, a female talent who spent her childhood as a child actress shockingly admitted that she even thought of suicide during her teenage years. It seems that trying to find time for both education and entertainment will always be an issue for young idol stars. Source: MBC News
