An actor who was filming as an extra was on the verge of quitting his career - that is, until Hallyu star So Ji Sub came to the rescue and directly helped him as a mentor. It was reported that during a recent filming for a CF of the 'One Root' drink, So Ji Sub was working with an extra who decided quit midway through filming. The actor believed that he lacked acting skills, but So Ji Sub encouraged the actor and offered to become his mentor. His passion and thoughtfulness moved the staff on-set. During an interview with TV magazine Hello TV, So Ji Sub expressed his embarrassment to this and said, "I thought of the times when I debuted and how much I suffered because of my bad acting. I believed that if that person really quit, it would've hurt them even more, so I decided to help." With regards to acting in dramas, he expressed his disappointment with the procedures of drama productions, saying, "Pre-productions for dramas are a must. When you receive a script on the day of filming as an extra, you have doubts of whether you're a real actor or a just a machine that performs with a technique." Earlier in the year, So Ji Sub acted in the MBC drama 'Road No. 1', which surprisingly did not receive that great a viewer rating when it aired. However, So Ji Sub showed his strong attachment to the drama and said, "It might have not received good reviews now, but sometime later in the future it will become a drama that will get a re-evaluation."
