Eru, who has recently been under controversy because of accusations by songwriter Choi Hee Jin, is now under fire by netizens for album sales. The singer's fourth album, Got to Be, released August 19th, and has apparently sold 7000 copies in one day, shooting up to number 1 on popular Korean music site Hot Tracks. The site's representative defended the sudden sales by explaining that it was not out of the ordinary for a returning artist to sell over 5000 albums in a day, and that the reason he ranked high so suddenly was because of a backlog of orders. The representative also mentioned that unlike the sale of albums by idols, ballad singers' albums have fans who buy in bulk. One netizen was dissatisfied with the explanation and commented, "It's not as if Eru is an idol or as if it's the opening day of sales. How is it possible that his album sold 7000 in a day?" Whether or not the netizen's speculations are legitimate, Eru currently has enough White Tears to shed in his personal life. Source: Newsen
