There were many angry Jaywalkers after the conclusion of this evening's KBS2TV's Music Bank on July 23rd after it was revealed that Jay Park's latest single, Count on Me had been excluded from the K-Chart rankings. Fans were furious and after the show, it was revealed that it was Sidus HQ themselves who had pulled Jay Park's song off the chart. Shortly afterwards, they released an official statement through their website to clarify this issue.
"Hello everyone, this is Sidus HQ. This is a notice about why Jay Park was excluded from the Music Bank K-Chart. First, we would like to thank all the fans for supporting Jay's album. Secondly, we know that fans would love to see Jay go on music shows for promotions. But the primary motive of the album was to signal a brand new start for Jay, and was a present to fans. It's not an actual album. We had announced that Jay's album will not be promoted on any programs. Unlike what everyone speculated about Jay being blacklisted, this was a decision taken after discussions with the broadcast station. We have thus decided to exclude Jay's album from being included in the music rankings. Reason being, we have no plans to do any album promotions. We would like to say sorry for worrying the fans and ask for their understanding. We thank the fans for their love and support, and we will meet you again with a better image in future. Thank you!"Many thanks to 13elieveSuJu for the tip.
