New York City and San Francisco were not the only cities that had fun last month - a few weeks ago, the renowned "Bad Party" got started in Los Angeles! On May 23, Park Jin Young held his second half of the 2010 JYP Tour with idol group 2AM. To start off the "Bad Party," 2AM opened with two of their hit songs, This Song and Confession of a Friend. The boys then briefly greeted the fans and got right back into business and finished with their songs Won't Let You Go Even if I Die and I Did Wrong. 2AM has no doubt reached the peak of their career as fans were screaming on the top of their lungs for these idol boys. But even with all the fame and attention, the boys kept their cool, poise, and professionalism and finished their opening performances without cracking a single smile once while in singing mode. The boys then smiled, waved and exited off stage, with Jo Kwon doing a little fan service with some hip swaying that looked like Brown Eyed Girls' Abracadabra (guess he missed his wife up in San Francisco), and the real party with the Boss, Park Jin Young, started. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDmF4pMOx2I Park Jin Young's concerts hold quite a reputation alone, and from all the great things I've heard about them, this concert certainly did not disappoint! Park Jin Young's solo concert got started with an introduction video followed by exotic dancers, with the man himself rolling in on a moving couch with a female. At this point, the introduction was already speaking volumes about what was to come for this concert - the night was going to be big, sexual, exciting and bad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=su9OGp6xYPg The concert started off with his songs Elevator, Kiss and Delicious (Your Lips), and then he personally greeted himself as Park Jin Young the singer/dancer, not as Park Jin Young the Wonder Girls' producer, 2PM's manager, or 2AM's composer. A piano then came on stage and he played, as well as sang, 2AM's This Song and 2PM's Again and Again. Whether it was because he was the composer of both songs or not, they were both well performed, possibly even better than the idols themselves. He then went on to explain to his fans that he usually does not sing other artists' songs during his concerts, but that he was going to sing a song by his "grand teacher," Kim Hyun Suk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUr9flPVBWI Park Jin Young then went back to his own songs and performed Behind You and Don't Leave Me. Before singing his Proposal Song, he spoke up to the audience, saying, "[You] can separate the crowd to two groups. People happy because of love and people sad because of love." Along with this song, Park Jin Young performed a few magic tricks that resulted in little paper hearts and confetti flying around everywhere. He then sang Forever Us Two and stated that one's heart is joyful until the other person says the "G" word, Goodbye. His song The Farewell in Daylight then began to play and he shared this duet with his special performer, Joo. Following his performance he stated, "After awhile you pretend you're over her… but one day you realize the flame is still alive," and performed Truth Is. All of his hit songs seem to tie in perfectly together into a love story. He then asked the crowd if they have seen their exes with someone else and went on to perform The House You Live In. Now, for the highlight of his concert, Park Jin Young chose a special female fan for his performance of I Have a Girl. In order to be chosen as this special guest, his requirements were that 1) she had to be single and could not have come to the concert with a male, and 2) she had to be over 19 years old. (To be honest though, I think whoever had the loudest voice would've be chosen...) So after a couple of lapdances, cuddling, and serenading, Park Jin Young went on to perform No Love No More, a remix of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean and his song Honey, Ddan-Dda-Ra Blues and Swing Baby. For his performance of Swing Baby, the performer apologized beforehand and admitted that he was going to lip-sync the song in order to tap-dance to it. Park Jin Young definitely has some great stage manners, and he also got the whole crowd to stand up so he can teach them the "swimming" dance for his next performance of She Was Pretty. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjO34HBnj18 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gh-wTuNQsCA As the concert was coming to an end, he gave a heartwarming speech to his fans and as cheesy and cliché it may be, he stated, "My dream is to grow old with my fans. My biggest dream is to not let my fans down," and that he wanted to be the first white-haired singer. He then ended his concert with Don't Leave Me and an encore performance of a bittersweet version of I Return which he sang with his fans. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33F3jNeVF8Y There's something about concerts that just connect the fans to the artist(s), and no matter how great the fancams are, they just do no justice like the actual live show. Park Jin Young sure knows how to give a two thumbs up performance, and whether you were a JYP fan or a 2AM fan, there's no doubt that you were converted into a JYP family fan by the end of the night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6Mz57sjI50 [gallery columns="8"] Photography by: Alex Gao & Daniel Yoon
