Kpop's definitely been going global as of late, and with quintets like TVXQ and Big Bang finding success in Japan, it's no surprise that 4minute is one of the latest groups to venture into the Land of the Rising Sun. Although the ladies are still in the process of learning the language and have yet to actually debut, they've already generated quite a receptive fanbase, with over two thousand people showing up for their showcase in Japan back in March. On a recent episode of Japanese station NTV's POPKOREA segment, A-list kpop idols like Big Bang, 2PM, Kara, the Brown Eyed Girls, SNSD, 2AM and more were listed as some of the Korea's pop idols that had become popular in Japan as well. As NTV featured 4minute, it was confirmed that the girls would be dropping a special repackaged album in Japan on May 5. From 1:18 to 1:34 in the following clip, we hear a preview of the Japanese version of Muzik. Although some fans were worried about whether the second version would live up to the original, it seems like this new recording's got a taste of its own. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tz0-k77Fj78 As the video above also reveals, 4minute will be recording their very first live broadcast for their Japanese debut at Zepp Tokyo at their second showcase, set to take place this Saturday on May 8. If you're in the area, make sure to order your tickets (4500 yen / $48 USD) by April 18. Last year, 4minute was announced in May. Now a year later, they'll be making a debut in an entirely foreign country... they've come pretty far!
