MC Mong's manager, Lee Hoon Suk, publicly wrote about MC Mong on his personal Cyworld blog. Lee Hoon Suk wrote,

"Today, as i watched tired MC Mong hyung practicing in the rehearsing room, I really felt that I had to write something about him. It has already been 7 years since I have been suffering and rejoicing along with the celebrity MC Mong, real name Shin Dong Hyun. There were so many times where I disliked him and hated him, but there were also times when I was so proud that I was his manager and I want to show off to everyone that I spent these 7 years with this person. The first day I was hired and met MC Mong, there was such a great sense of charisma that I was not even able to converse with him. I misjudged him thinking that since MC Mong seems to be a celebrity that loves to talk and make anyone happy, he is the kind of person everyone would want to be close with. But there was also an unexpected and somewhat cold side of him. However, because he considered me to be one his family members he would laugh around me and smile. Being hyung's manager was no easy task. There were so many days when I was just too tired and couldn't take it. I often thought about quitting and thought to myself 'should I go back to school and start studying again, or I should just go back to my hometown and start a business?' There were also times I asked myself, 'why would hyung say such harsh and hurtful words to me?' I really hated him because of that sometimes, but there were also times when it was my fault, so I can understand why he said those things. Recently, on 'Teacher Is Coming,' we attempted to 'MolCa' (punk'd) MC Mong about my fake debt and by no means did I expect of him to really do anything about it, I mean we aren't even blood-brothers. But as we kept continuing the scenario, I had a little hope and expectation that he would stand up for me (which he did boldly). MC Mong is truly Shin Dong Hyun. MC Mong even said he couldn't care less about his image as a celebrity compared to helping me out if I needed help. There was also a time when a noona that I have worked with became sick and went to the hospital. MC Mong angrily yelled, 'are you sure you didn't you get sick because you were focusing too much on me and my expenses? Don't worry about me and take good care of your body!' MC Mong is this kind of person everyone, he is a person that hates having his acquaintances getting sick because of him and if we are in any kind of trouble or dilemma, he is the kind of person that will quietly help us out no matter what. Seeing this kind of hyung so tired and slouched from working so hard these days causes me so much heartache. When I talk to other managers about celebrities in the world, I proudly and boldly show off who my 'hyung' is. No matter how many people think or talk bad about you, me and the other staff members will always trust, respect, and love you. You know that right? I'm~~ Lee Hoon Suk!!!!
