J.Y. Park's signature girl group survival system is going global in 'A2K', a collaboration with U.S.-based music label Republic Records to discover talent for a unique, global girl group created from the K-Pop system.
On June 29, JYP Entertainment unveiled the first teaser for its new project 'A2K', which begins with J.Y. Park's journey across 5 major U.S. cities including Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Dallas, and Los Angeles to meet some of the brightest young talents with an interest in joining a global girl group.
Those who pass the preliminary audition will rendezvous in LA, where they'll attend a boot camp led by J.Y. Park and his team. During boot camp, the trainees will be put through a total of four evaluations meant to test their talents and potential in dance, vocals, star quality, and character.
Trainees who pass all four evaluations will then fly over to Seoul, where they'll be exposed to systematic training and skill enhancing techniques by JYP Entertainment's top choreographers, producers, and coordinators.
Watch the first teaser for 'A2K' by JYP Entertainment x Republic Records, premiering on July 13 at 9 PM EST on YouTube.
I am actually intrigued by this, if there's one thing Mr. JYP excels at is at putting a girl group together
