Park Soo Hong's story of how he met his wife, who is 23 years younger than him, drew mixed reactions from viewers. 

On the December 26th episode of TV Chosun's 'Chosun's Romantist', Park Soo Hong and Kim Da Ye couple who recently got married appeared and shared their love story. The couple revealed they first met at a charity event. She attended the event as his junior's acquaintance. Park Soo Hong said after seeing her at the event, he asked his junior to see her again and then wooed her for a year. 

Following Park Soo Hong's perspective, Kim Da Ye shared her perspective, "I was 27 at the time. I was not interested in him because I was young. He was not calculative, different from what I imagined about celebrities. At first, I thought he was just acting. We stayed as acquaintances for a year." 

She continued, "I graduated college and was working multiple jobs including being an instructor. He gave me rides when I got off from work. He later said he was upset when I just went home without having dinner with him. To be honest I didn't even know he actually really liked me because I was not interested." 

"But I opened up after a year. I went through a tough time at the end of 2019, and he was the only one who was there for me. He did not change for a year so I started opening up thinking he must be sincere. That's when we started dating." 

She also added, "I originally wanted to get married after 30 but I realized it was just us two after going through a tough time. He said we should support each other for the rest of our life and I said yes." 

However, their story drew mixed reactions from the viewers after the broadcast. Some said it was consensual and both were adults so it's not anyone else's business but the majority shared negative feedback. 

Some of the comments are: "Regardless of how good a person Park Soo Hong is, and how hard his personal life was, I don't think him following a 27-year-old for a year is something admirable." 

"I really wish he didn't share this on the broadcast. He said her first impression was cold but any 27-year-old will freeze in front of a 50-year-old man when they are meeting for the first time." 

"I can't believe he said he thought they were dating for a year lol Isn't that a typical delusional stalking behavior?" 

"He could have just kept this in private and lived a happy life? I don't understand. A 50-year-old man wooed and followed a 27-year-old who just graduated college for a year. That is just creepy." 

"I hate how many delusional old men at work will now think their young associates could be their potential date."
