Girls' Generation's Seohyun revealed she couldn't be genuinely happy when she debuted.
On the February 19th episode of MBC's 'Point of Omniscient Interference', Seohyun made a guest appearance and shared her daily life. During this episode, Seohyun met with Lee Hwan Hee, who has been friends with Seohyun since they were 12. Seohyun introduced her as someone who knows everything about her.
They met each other at SM Entertainment as trainees and pre-debut Girls' Generation members. During this episode, she shared her gratefulness for her long-time friend. Seohyun told Lee Hwan Hee, "To be honest, I felt bad. I couldn't reach out to you or come see you as frequently because I was so busy. But then you were always there thinking about me. I feel like crying. I'm just so grateful to have you in my life."
Seohyun also shared she couldn't reach out to Lee Hwan Hee after Lee Hwan Hee didn't get to debut as a Girls' Generation member. Seohyun said, "I couldn't talk to her for days. I couldn't be genuinely happy after learning only I got to debut. In fact, I wasn't happy at all. I was so sorry and felt like crying. I couldn't dare to reach out to her."
She continued, "But then she reached out to me first, saying congratulations. I feel I've lived well thanks to this one friend."
Is this a new episode? I remember seeing something like this years ago. The story is pretty well know but I swear they reunited for a reality segment around the holler era.
