On January 21, WEi's Kim Yo Han made a guest appearance on KBS2TV's 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook'. Here, Kim Yo Han revealed that he is actually missing two ligaments on each ankle due to past injury.
On this day, MC Yoo Hee Yeol asked Kim Yo Han what he thinks his personal charm is. To this, Kim Yo Han replied, "There is no answer. If, for example, there is a prompt 'to smile', then there is no correct answer on how to smile. I think that is what's charming." Yoo Hee Yeol then asked, "Then what do you think a singer's charm is?". Kim Yo Han answered, "There was one specific moment where I decided to become a singer. It was my first stage. When I sang my first part on my first stage, I heard my fans and the audience members' loud cheers, and I felt a thrill pass through my spine. I can't explain it in words."
In particular, Kim Yo Han's career transition from a Taekwondo athelete to a singer was mentioned. When asked about his injury that led him to leave behidn his athlete career, Kim Yo Han revealed, "To be honest, many people misunderstand that my injury was in the achilles heels, but it's actually in the ligaments. I am missing two ligaments on each side [of my ankles]."
Missing? I don't think he's using the proper term, you don't 'miss' a ligament, loosened? Maybe. Ligaments are used to stabilize us, he would be having trouble walking or doing that damn taekwondo kick every damn time he's on a variety show. LOL also ligaments can be repaired or restructured, so I dunno what he's talking about.
