
NCT WISH has completed a successful promotional visit to Shanghai, China ahead of the release of their second mini album 'poppop', set to drop on April 14th KST.
According to SM Entertainment, the group visited Shanghai from March 29th to 30th for their first local press conference, drawing enthusiastic responses from media and fans alike. The press event, held at the Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Oriental Shanghai, was attended by over 60 major media outlets including NetEase, Sina.com, Sohu.com, Tencent News, and others, demonstrating keen interest in the rising K-pop act.
The members greeted attendees in Chinese, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. They introduced their upcoming album, discussed future goals, and answered various questions, earning attention from local press. They also shared their excitement for the upcoming 'NCT WISH ASIA TOUR LOG in MACAU', which will run from April 4th to 6th, stating: “We’re working hard to prepare performances that fans are looking forward to, and we can’t wait to meet them.”
Alongside media activities, NCT WISH connected with fans through signing events and interactive fan meetings. They also filmed content and interviews across multiple platforms before returning to Korea.
The group’s upcoming mini album poppop features six tracks, including the energetic title song of the same name. Since debuting in February 2023, NCT WISH has quickly earned the title of “refreshing icons” of K-pop, with cumulative album sales approaching 2 million. Their Japanese debut album Wishful topped the Oricon Daily Album Chart for five consecutive days and earned them multiple rookie awards.
