MONSTA X's Minhyuk has recently become the subject of dating rumors after fans spotted social media photos posted by his alleged girlfriend.
Surprisingly, the backlash isn’t about him dating but rather about his perceived indifference toward fans. Many are not upset about his relationship itself but feel disappointed that he has been inattentive to his activities.
The frustration grew when fans discovered that his alleged girlfriend had accompanied him to Busan while he was filming content for MONSTA X. One fan explained, "What about when he had to go to Busan alone as a penalty for 'MON MUST GO ON (MON.MUK.GO),' but instead went with his girlfriend and spent the night together? Or how they traveled to Japan for over a week during the Lunar New Year holiday, delaying their return until the day before his Fashion Week schedule? And what about the deleted photo of Galbitang (beef short rib soup) because a hand was visible in the picture?"

These fans also discovered photos that his alleged girlfriend posted when they visited 'Culinary Class War' chef Lim Tae Hoon's restaurant. Initially, fans thought Minhyuk had visited the restaurant with Kihyun but accused him of bringing his girlfriend.
Another fan shared the photos on social media and wrote, "I'm posting this because I'm so f***n pissed at his brazen girlfriend. Minhyuk, we thought you went with just Kihyun, but I guess it wasn't the case. Can you explain what she means by 'The three Paris group'?"

Many fans are taking to social media and various online communities to express their frustration. With the dating rumors further spreading, fans are growing angrier and more disappointed in Minhyuk. These fans expressed criticism toward Minhyuk and commented:
"Bringing a girlfriend to a filming trip is something new."
"So she knew him for twelve years, but they just recently started to date. He had another girlfriend before."
"It's not the first time that MONSTA X members were caught dating, but then what fans are upset about is that he isn't doing work. He's only concentrating on dating."
"I think he did a Bubble live at his girlfriend's house before lol."
"Out of six members, five are available. Shouldn't they at least pretend to be preparing for a comeback? Instead, they keep using the members in the military as an excuse to do nothing! A singer should be performing on stage, not just acting like an influencer! All they do is attend events!"
"Fans are simply asking them to at least act like they’re preparing for a comeback when five out of six members are present. But instead, they’re doing zero musical activities—no Shorts, no Reels, not even a cover song. Whenever fans ask, they just say, “We’re working on things, just wait.” And when they finally release content, they stretch a single self-produced video across multiple episodes. The latest one still looks like it was filmed in the freezing winter. Meanwhile, MONBEBE’s 8th membership term has ended. They’re not working, just dating—and even when they do work, it’s still about dating. That’s why this whole situation exploded. It didn’t just come out of nowhere."
"Nobody cares if guys in their 30s are dating. Fans aren’t upset about that. It’s just that this isn’t the first time there’s been girlfriend-related drama. Most fans are at an age where they have boyfriends or husbands themselves. But this is their 11th year as a group, and fans were expecting a big 10th-anniversary celebration—now the entire first half of the year is wasted. Before their military service, they were begging fans to stay. Now? Both the company and the members seem to have no intention of working."
"Nobody’s saying they can’t date in their 30s. But can they please stop dating attention-seeking girlfriends? Or at least keep things under control? They’re not in their 20s anymore, yet they still have no eye for people and can’t separate personal and professional life. It’s honestly disappointing."
"Idols act like they’ll die if they don’t date for a few years, even though they’re making insane amounts of money. That money comes from fans paying for a fantasy, so can’t they at least hold back for a while? And just because they’ve aged a bit doesn’t mean they’re not idols anymore. If they’re still making money as idols, they should at least follow the basics. If they want to date freely and make money, then don’t be an idol—be a solo singer or a dancer instead."
"Honestly, MONBEBEs aren’t even surprised by this. It’s not the first time. What’s really making everyone mad is his complete lack of consideration for fans."
"Minhyuk is in his 30s now—of course, he can date. But having a girlfriend who flaunts it? That’s just annoying. Just be discreet about it."
