EXO's Kai has officially returned from his mandatory military service and is already reconnecting with fans through various outlets.

Kai officially completed his military duty as a social service worker and was discharged on February 10. On the day of his return, Kai revealed that he would hold a live-streaming session to connect with fans right away. 

Just as he promised, Kai celebrated his return with fans through live broadcasts on YouTube, TikTok, and Weverse.

During the broadcast, he shared his excitement and said, "Before I began (the live stream), I didn't feel like this was real but when I came down the stairs I was filled with emotions. I'm meeting you guys after a year and 9 months. I missed you EXO-L so much." 

He also spent time reading fans' comments on the live chat and updating them on what he had been doing during his service. He shared  "I have been the same. The same Kai you know," but he pointed out that there has been one change in his life. He elaborated, "The biggest change... I didn't drink coffee a lot so I drank lattes before but now I drink Iced Americano. Many EXO-L who drink iced americanos used to criticize me and latte lovers used to cheer me on but I have switched to iced americano." He continued, "I can't start my day without it now. I wanted to quit milk which is why I started drinking iced Americano and now I am an iced americano drinker. Please take note."

Kai also shared what it felt like going to work as a social worker during his service. He explained, "I know now. The happiness of resting on the weekend, and not wanting to go to work on Mondays. When I was promoting before, I couldn't relate, but now, I know how you feel. I can relate. Monday blues. I know it now. I ate the red pill. I hate Mondays."

Not only that, Kai also treated fans to short clips, proving that his dance skills remained sharp.

Meanwhile, Kai enlisted as a social service worker in May 2023. He serviced for a year and 9 months, returning to fans on February 10.
