For many netizens, the mention of Kim Gyuvin's father, a "director of a plastic surgery clinic", was telling evidence that the ZEROBASEONE member was in fact a "gold spoon", or someone born into a wealthy family. 

Furthermore, it was pointed out that Kim Gyuvin grew up in Apgu-jeong, considered one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in South Korea. He graduated from Apgujeong Elementary School, Apgujeong Middle School, and Apgujeong High School. 

Once, shortly after his debut, fans photographed Kim Gyuvin on his way to school, wearing a 'Louis Vuitton' backpack (priced at ~ $3,350 USD).
