LE SSERAFIM took center stage at Europe’s largest music awards show.
On the 10th (local time), LE SSERAFIM attended the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA) held in Manchester, UK, where they were invited as performers.
They were the only K-pop artists invited to perform. The BBC highlighted their presence, stating, “LE SSERAFIM, who achieved remarkable success in the U.S., will make their debut performance in the UK. Expect a sophisticated and polished stage.”
Host Rita Ora praised the group, saying in an interview with local media, “All the artists performing are incredible, but LE SSERAFIM’s rehearsal was particularly impressive.”
LE SSERAFIM met high expectations effortlessly. They opened with a voguing dance performance to their mini 4th album’s track ‘Chasing Lightning,’ accompanied by 30 local dancers for a mega-crew showcase.
This was followed by their title track ‘Crazy,’ where the members delivered a powerful performance with confident attitudes and choreography that utilized the stage in a 360-degree display, captivating the audience. Fans sang along in Korean, showing their enthusiastic support.
LE SSERAFIM was nominated in three categories: 'Best Push,' 'Best New,' and 'Best K-Pop.' They ultimately won the 'Best Push' award, triumphing over competitors such as Chapel Rhone, Teddy Swims, and Raye.
The members expressed their surprise and gratitude, saying, “Performing in the UK for the first time was already amazing. We never imagined winning an award,” and added, “We sincerely thank all the fans who supported our journey. We dedicate this honor to them.”
