Thunder and Mimi share their experience at 2NE1’s concert.
On October 7th KST, Thunder shared photos from the 2NE1 concert on his social media, along with the caption “Welcome back 2NE1.” As many know, Thunder is the younger brother of 2NE1’s Dara, with Dara being the eldest of three siblings and Thunder the youngest.
The shared photos showed the members of 2NE1 standing together on stage, expressing their feelings about the concert. Dara was holding a microphone, and Thunder reflected on the experience, writing, “It was an emotional and amazing concert. I didn’t miss a single song, so it was a lot of fun.”
Thunder’s wife, Mimi, also shared her excitement, saying, “I finally got to attend a 2NE1 concert that I always wanted to go to when I was younger. I’m totally a successful fan now!” She also posted photos taken with the members, revealing her connection to them.
As someone who has been part of the entertainment industry for a long time, Thunder must have felt a whirlwind of emotions, especially with the concert marking the 15th anniversary of 2NE1’s debut. Following the concert, interest in Thunder’s former group MBLAQ has also surged among netizens.
Fans have left comments like, “So, when is MBLAQ’s comeback?” and “We miss MBLAQ,” expressing their desire to see the group again. Thunder was a member of MBLAQ from 2009 to 2014, alongside Lee Joon, Seungho, G.O, and Mir. The group gradually disbanded in early 2017 due to military service and various personal circumstances.
Thunder and Mimi tied the knot in April, with actor Choi Soo Jong officiating the wedding and Dara and Lee Chan Won performing the congratulatory songs.
The couple also gained attention after appearing on the KBS2 variety show ‘Second House 2,’ where they revealed they had been dating for four years with marriage in mind. Mimi debuted with the group Gugudan in 2016 and has since transitioned into acting after the group disbanded.
