Fans criticize Seventeen's expensive VIP concert tickets for extremely limited viewing angles

AKP STAFF

VIP fans who attended Seventeen's latest concert are expressing frustration over seats with extremely limited viewing angles.

On an online forum, netizens reacted to a fan's complaint on platform X about their "worst experience" at Seventeen's concert, held on October 12. The fan, who purchased a VIP ticket costing around 200,000 KRW each (roughly 200 USD), shared their disappointment.

The fan explained that their seat offered only a partial view of the LED screen, which displayed the members on the main stage. Unfortunately, this stage was set at a lower level than the one visible from their seat. The only stage with a clear view from their position was the extended thrust stage.

As shown in the photo below shared by the fan, those seated in the VIP section could only see the members when they appeared on the right side of the stage, where the pink triangle image is projected. The members seen on the left side of the photo are merely LED projections, not the actual human figures.

It was clear that VIP attendees could only see the members partially in real life when they performed on the extended stage in front of the triangle image on the LED screen, as seen in the photo below.

When the members were on the main stage, VIP attendees couldn't see them in person; they could only watch them via the LED screen, even when the members were sitting on a lift. The photo below once again shows a member being projected on the LED screen, with the VIP section not having any view of him in real life.

Frustrated by the limited view, VIP ticket holders in the front rows reportedly began standing up, which led to arguments with those in the back rows, who were demanding they sit down.

In the comments section, other fans also shared their disappointment, mentioning poor visibility from seats on the third floor, with an obstructed view of the main stage's center. Others also mentioned that the high fence for those sitting in the front row on the third floor severely impaired their views.

Reactions include:

"Wow, seriously? They should’ve checked things like this when setting up the stage. Even if it was 20,000 won it’d be a problem, but 200,000 won… wow."

"If you're going to take 200,000 won, you should provide a product that matches the price."

"You can't help it, even if you get criticized, you have to stand up. Will sitting down bring back 200,000 won? You have to see it somehow, otherwise I’m the one losing money."

"How have they been doing performances for years and still not checking sightlines during rehearsals? LOL"

"Just sit down and take a look during rehearsals… If you’re going to take that much money, at least put in some effort."

"They should exclude seats like this from being sold. I was so shocked when I sat down."

"They should’ve checked the sightlines… they’re really half-hearted with their work."

"Wow, what a waste of money."

"Ugh, a 200,000 won ticket… seriously, why does K-pop handle things so terribly but still just focus on taking money from fans? Why does the entertainment industry seem to only have people with no conscience? Is the VIP section a joke?"
