Min Hee Jin has responded to ADOR's statement with her objective to return as CEO.
On September 25, the day NewJeans said was the deadline for their demands from HYBE to be fulfilled, ADOR held a board meeting and pushed to extend the term of Min Hee Jin as an internal director. According to ADOR, appointing Min Hee Jin as an internal director rather than CEO was a compromise, and Min Hee Jin herself was said to have been willing to accept the proposal of a 3-year reappointment as internal director. This would reportedly guarantee Min Hee Jin's position as the lead producer of NewJeans.
However, Min Hee Jin has released her own statement, expressing her objective to return as the CEO of ADOR. According to the statement, it's unclear whether Min Hee Jin will actually be reappointed as an internal director as HYBE will decide on the reappointment as the major shareholder of ADOR. The statement further expressed Min Hee Jin was wary of the "toxic clauses" in the proposal and that the mentioned compromise was merely wordplay. It was also mentioned Min Hee Jin is not fully willing to extend her term as an internal director under a flawed contract as it would not guarantee the normal activities of NewJeans as artists.

"Hello.
This is Marcol Consulting Group that is in charge of media communication with SHIN & KIM LLC, a law firm that represents Min Hee Jin, former CEO of ADOR.
Earlier today, the board of directors decided to convene an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to re-elect former CEO Min Hee Jin as an internal director. However, since the appointment of the internal director is decided by HYBE, the majority shareholder, it is not known whether Min Hee Jin will be re-elected as an internal director at this point.
Meanwhile, the board of directors said on the morning of September 11 that it had proposed to Min Hee Jin, the former CEO, to take charge of producing NewJeans' production for the next five years. However, there was no sincere proposal, including removing numerous toxic provisions such as the unilateral right to terminate the contract, which was in the draft. The expression 'proposing a compromise' is just a play on words.
Former CEO Min Hee Jin is wary of not being guaranteed the normal artist activities of NewJeans when her term is extended due to a flawed contract. In response, former CEO Min Hee Jin clearly expressed her intention to return as CEO and requested specific contract details with sincerity from HYBE. She feels a great anger at conducting media play before the consultation again without any discussions on the status, period, and authority with the person concerned.
It turns out this morning that HYBE has been engaged in media play to undermine the performance of label artists. It's suspicious they're suddenly making a statement today and whether they are attempting to drive a wedge between Min Hee Jin and NewJeans. As you know well, HYBE has always started incomprehensible media play first and has always made another statement to cover up the truth when it is revealed.
In addition to what was revealed today, authority as CEO is a necessary demand in order to have the right to defend against irrational actions by HYBE, including what was disclosed today and given that there is no reason for her removal as CEO.
We are deeply indignant with ADOR, who instigates the public and public opinion through lies that will repeatedly be apparent, and we are saddened by the damage caused to the artists. We hope that the Board of Directors of ADOR will show sincerity in engaging in sincere consultations before engaging in media play. We also strongly demand the return of former CEO Min Hee Jin to the position of CEO to ensure the proper achievements of the artists."
