Former BLACKPINK creative director Shin Seong Jin (Sinxity) has publicly expressed support for NewJeans and their former CEO, Min Hee Jin, amid the ongoing controversy between the group and their label, HYBE.
Following a surprise live stream on September 11, where NewJeans members voiced their concerns about the current ADOR management and demanded Min Hee Jin’s reinstatement, Shin Seong Jin took to Instagram to show support for the group.
Meanwhile, NewJeans recently gave HYBE a two-week deadline, until September 25, to reinstate Min Hee Jin as CEO of ADOR. This move is interpreted by legal experts as a step towards terminating their exclusive contracts.
Korean netizens commented:
"Wasn't he the one who showed support before too?"
"I'm so grateful to see such support in the entertainment industry."
"He's amazing. It's not easy to do that."
"I'm so thankful how he consistently shows support like that."

"He's the one who pointed out that Belift Lab released similar content right? I think I would be baffled to see that content too and would show support (for NewJeans)."
"Thank you so much..."
"He's a true adult."
"He's amazing."
"This wouldn't have been easy but he still showed support."
