A heartwarming story about Hyeri has been revealed.
On August 5, the YouTube channel 'Zzanbro Shin Dong Yup' featured Hyeri and Park Se Wan, the stars of the movie 'Victory.'
Shin Dong Yup said, "I've worked with Hyeri on broadcasts, and she surprised me so much. Firstly, she's really funny and quick. She has a great sense of humor and is exceptionally witty. Whether the camera is on or off, she's equally kind and warm-hearted," praising Hyeri's character.
He continued, "What really amazed me was when Hyeri had to leave 'Amazing Saturday' due to entering a new drama and other commitments. However, Hyeri suggested having a final gathering, and during that time, she unexpectedly held an event with all the staff present."
Shin Dong Yup recalled, "Hyeri started a lucky draw, and the first prize was worth several million KRW (thousand USD). Even the lower-tier prizes were worth one to two hundred thousand KRW (150 USD). I think she spent tens of millions of KRW. Moreover, she made sure the celebrities didn’t take the prizes, and instead, distributed them to the staff. Watching her give gifts to the staff, I felt deeply moved and thought I should learn from her. I thought she was truly amazing. Her departure left a strong impression."
Hyeri, surprised, said, "I didn't know you remembered the farewell gathering," and Shin Dong Yup replied, "It was one of the most touching moments in my decades of broadcasting."
Regarding why she prepared such a grand farewell event when leaving 'Amazing Saturday,' Hyeri explained, "I had grown very attached to the show, and I considered it a program that opened another prime period in my career. I was only filled with gratitude towards 'Amazing Saturday.'"
She continued, "I just thought, 'I am so blessed' and wondered, 'What can I do to repay this?' I felt it wasn’t enough to just say thank you and express my feelings, so I decided to go big."
Shin Dong Yup added with a laugh, "I was calculating the expenses alone," to which Hyeri responded, "I received so much more, so it was no big deal."
Park Se Wan chimed in, saying, "Hyeri did the same during 'Victory,'" and Shin Dong Yup joked, "Is it her casting strategy? People might say, 'She does a lucky draw after the project ends.'"
Additionally, Shin Dong Yup described Hyeri as "a complete prankster, the ultimate prankster. You could say she's the female P.O."
Hyeri joked back, "P.O. is way below me. I've never laughed at anything P.O. does," and added, "He learned everything from me. When he first joined 'Amazing Saturday,' he was very nervous," keeping the humor going.
