Mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang, who claimed she had been subjected to continuous assault and threats by her ex-boyfriend for four years, announced on July 15 that she plans to file a lawsuit against certain YouTubers for threatening to expose her private life.

Tzuyang's legal representatives, lawyers Kim Tae Yeon and Kim Ki Baek from Tae Yeon Law Firm posted a statement on Tzuyang's YouTube channel community, stating, "We will submit a complaint to the 3rd Criminal Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office against YouTubers Gu Je Yeok, JuJakGamByeolsa (Jeon Guk Jin), the operator of the Caracula Crime Research Institute, and anonymous individuals who threatened her."

They explained, "At the time of the incident, Tzuyang was in a very deteriorated mental and physical state. She couldn't even respond to the extortion attempts and thought she had to quietly endure the damage alone."

They added, "As the issue became public, the indiscriminate secondary harm to Tzuyang, other related individuals, and third parties began to escalate. After deep consideration, we decided to proceed with the lawsuit." They also stated, "If additional individuals involved in the blackmail are identified, we will respond actively without any leniency."

According to Tzuyang's side, there is already a separate complaint filed with the 3rd Criminal Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office listing Tzuyang as the victim.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office received a complaint against 'cyber wrecker' YouTubers on charges of extortion but transferred the case to the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office, which has jurisdiction over the residences and crime locations of the accused and is handling multiple related investigations and trials.

Mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang, who has 10.4 million subscribers, revealed on the morning of July 11 through a video on her personal YouTube channel that she had been continuously assaulted by her former agency's CEO and ex-boyfriend, identified as A, and had been deprived of at least 4 billion KRW (2.9 million USD) in revenue.

YouTuber Gu Je Yeok, who was accused of coercing Tzuyang into signing a 55 million KRW (~39,711.48 USD) contract through threats, voluntarily appeared at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office and denied the charges, claiming, "I acted as a double agent to prevent the exposure."

Caracula, who runs the 'Caracula Crime Research Institute' channel, also clarified on his personal YouTube channel, stating, "The 'Crime Research Institute' channel mentioned as a defendant has no relation to my channel."
