Group ILLIT has solidified its position as a leading force in 5th generation K-pop, maintaining a strong presence on major US Billboard charts for an extended period.
On July 16 KST, the latest Billboard charts revealed that ILLIT's debut mini-album's title track "Magnetic" ranked 20th on the 'Global (Excl. US)' chart and 35th on the 'Global 200' chart.
The song, which first entered these charts on April 6, has sustained its popularity for 16 consecutive weeks. Notably, "Magnetic" climbed one spot on the 'Global (Excl. US)' chart from the previous week. This consistent rise in popularity is impressive, given that the group has yet to undertake significant overseas activities.
ILLIT made a powerful global debut in March. "Magnetic" became the first K-pop group's debut song to enter the US Billboard's main song chart 'Hot 100' just 21 days after its release.
Additionally, their mini-album 'SUPER REAL ME', which features "Magnetic," debuted at 93rd on the Billboard 200. This achievement marked a significant milestone, as ILLIT managed to place both their debut album and single on Billboard's two main charts.
