ALL(H)OURS is brimming with excitement as they prepare for their first comeback. They have navigated through initial hurdles during their preparation and now feel ready to showcase their full potential.
At the showcase for their second mini-album "WITNESS" held on July 2nd at Ilji Art Hall in Gangnam, Seoul, ALL(H)OURS introduced their album as one that "witnesses their possibilities."
ALL(H)OURS debuted in January with a passion to become the next generation's performance idols. While their debut album "ALL HOURS" focused on showcasing their rookie spirit, this new album emphasizes their growth and transformation.
With their title track "SHOCK," ALL(H)OURS is making a bold attempt by incorporating Drift Phonk into K-pop. Drift Phonk is a genre recently gaining attention in the EDM club scene. The track's introduction is marked by a cowbell synth lead that instantly captivates the listener.
ALL(H)OURS gained attention at their debut as the "cousin group of Stray Kids." Eden Entertainment's CEO Jo Hae-sung, who previously served as vice president at JYP Entertainment, managed groups like 2PM, TWICE, Stray Kids (SKZ), and ITZY. JYP Entertainment invested approximately 3 billion KRW in Eden Entertainment, maintaining their connection. JYP producer and singer Park Jin-young also sent a congratulatory video for ALL(H)OURS' showcase.
Park Jin-young provided direct advice this time as well. On explained, "CEO Jo and producer Park Jin-young are longtime friends, and they gave us a lot of love during our debut and again this time. Since we're a group that focuses on live performances, they taught us how to express ourselves through performance."
With Stray Kids set to make a comeback on the 19th, fans can look forward to a possible interaction between the two groups. On shared, "It's an honor to be called the cousin group of Stray Kids. We've respected them since our debut. If we get to do a challenge together, we'd be grateful."
ALL(H)OURS has experienced a dream-like journey since their debut. Masami said, "It was amazing to visit a broadcast station for the first time. Taking pictures at places like the 'Music Bank' stairs and vending machines, where other idols take photos, made our debut feel real."
On added, "As a fan of SHINee, it was an honor to have the opportunity to perform with Taemin. His presence was inspiring. After the stage, I told him he was my role model, and he responded, 'I need to work harder too,' which was very respectable."
For their second album, the focus is on showcasing a professional demeanor beyond that of rookies. On stated, "As a group that focuses on live performances, we want to be recognized for our performance skills." Yumin added, "We aim to capture the public's attention with our performance and vocals. We want to earn the phrase 'only ALL(H)OURS can do it.'"
ALL(H)OURS emphasized their rookie spirit with a determination to succeed. Jaden said, "Since our debut, we've promised to perform live. We've practiced without any breaks. This differentiates us from other groups." Hyunbin confidently stated, "Our live performance skills have improved since our first album. We believe we can prove it with this comeback." Gunho concluded, "We've poured our souls into preparing, day and night. Please look forward to our performance."
