Tiffany Young, star of the Disney+ series "Uncle Samsik," recently revealed her strong passion for acting.
During an interview held at a café in Sogyeok-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 26th, Tiffany laughed as she expressed her aspirations: "I want to walk the Cannes red carpet and receive a standing ovation."
She added, "These days, the energy I get from receiving a standing ovation after a (musical) performance feels magical every time. The thrill of connecting with the audience and conveying the story accurately is irreplaceable. But for me, it's more about Baeksang and Blue Dragon than Cannes. I've always watched these award ceremonies at home and I believe I can attend one day," showing her determination.
When asked about her goals as an actress, Tiffany responded, "Girls' Generation always chased scores. I unconsciously felt the pressure to be number one. As an actress, I want to be someone who can move the story forward. My goal is to make choices that positively influence others."
Tiffany Young, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards, shared her excitement upon hearing the nomination news: "I never imagined it. I can't believe it. I'm so happy and it feels like a dream."
"Uncle Samsik," which recently released all its episodes, tells the powerful story of Samsik (played by Song Kang Ho), who ensures everyone gets three meals a day even during wartime, and Kim San (played by Byun Yo Han), an elite young man striving to create a prosperous nation. Together, they aim to achieve their dreams amidst chaotic times.
In the series, Tiffany Young plays Rachel Jung, a director at the Albright Foundation who leads its projects. She becomes interested in Kim San's goal of rebuilding the nation and starts supporting his mission.
