On March 28, AOMG posted a statement on social media revealing that the exclusive contracts of GRAY, Lee Hi, Woo Won Jae, and Goosebumps with the label have expired.
According to the statement, the four artists have not renewed their contracts and have decided to part ways with the label, which shocked fans and netizens.
In particular, GRAY, a music producer and rapper who has penned numerous hits such as LOCO's "Hold Me Tight" and Woo Won Jae's "We Are," has been with AOMG since 2013. Woo Won Jae, who rose to fame through the Mnet hip-hop survival show 'Show Me The Money 7', joined AOMG in 2017.
Lee Hi, the runner-up on the SBS singing audition program 'K-Pop Star,' moved to AOMG in 2020 after being with YG Entertainment. Goosebumps, who is both a DJ and music producer, has also been active as an artist under AOMG since 2020.
Many netizens expressed shock as all four artists are leaving the label.
Korean netizens commented, "They're all leaving," "So many of them are leaving all at once," "Hmm then where would Lee Hi go?" "Then who's left at the label?" "Wow, GRAY's leaving," "I'm so shocked that GRAY's leaving," "Jay Park's not there too and DJ Pumkin's not there too. So there's no reason to stay," "The main members are leaving," "I can't believe GRAY and Woo Won Jae are leaving," "I guess LOCO is left and Code Kunst," and "Omg everyone is leaving."
