In an interview celebrating the release of their 8th mini-album [Fourever], DAY6's Dowoon opened up by saying,
"During my military service, I took a lot of time to reflect on myself and became healthier. I've become a smooth talker."
Indeed, Dowoon, unlike four years ago, actively shared his thoughts and led the atmosphere at the interview site.
He shared, "I struggled during the hiatus after 'Zombie'. I felt needed by DAY6, but being alone brought confusion about my identity. Even running my own YouTube channel to slowly resolve the confusion wasn’t easy," and added, "Going to the military gave me a lot of time to think, and I realized I hadn't been loving myself enough. I decided to live without regrets. So, I immediately took composition lessons if I want and enjoy fishing, doing everything I want to do."
Fishing, perhaps the word that excited Dowoon the most that day. He is so into fishing that he even held an event sending sashimi to fans after catching fish himself.
"I want to be a regular on Channel A’s 'City Fisherman'. It's a really good program. I wanted to give my fans good fish that I caught myself, but there’s definitely a right time for fishing. I bought 30-40 pieces of amberjack with my own money to send to them. I only caught about seven or so myself."
DAY6's new album 'Fourever' includes a total of 7 tracks, including the title track 'Welcome to the Show', 'HAPPY', 'The Power of Love', 'My Brain Minus You (Get The Hell Out)', 'A Sad Ending Just For Me', 'Let Me Love You', 'I Didn’t Know That Was Your Love'.
The album was released on the 18th at 6 PM, and DAY6 is set to hold a solo concert from April 12th to 14th.
