With reports alleging that the former idol who killed a man in a DUI accident is DJ Yesong, there have been eye-witness testimonies that she was uncooperative with the police.

As per reports, 23-year-old DJ Yesong is reported to have been driving her Mercedes-Benz under the influence of alcohol through Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The incident occurred at approximately 4:35 AM on February 3, KST, when she collided with the rear of a motorcycle. The impact forcefully ejected the motorcyclist, a delivery driver in his 50s, sending him approximately 100 meters from the site of the collision. Tragically, he died from his injuries.

At the time of her arrest, DJ Yesong's blood alcohol concentration was reportedly above the threshold for license cancellation. Concerned about the possibility of flight, the senior judge overseeing warrants at the Seoul Central District Court issued an arrest warrant on the same day, deeming DJ Yesong a flight risk.

Following the reports, there have been eye-witness testimonies alleging that DJ Yesong was uncooperative with the police. After the accident, she was seen sitting on the side of the road, holding her pet dog. According to the accounts, the police tried to separate her from her dog, but she refused and requested that she contact her parents.

One witness wrote in an online community, "After causing the accident, she sat there holding the dog, refusing to cooperate with the police. When the police tried to separate her from the dog, she complained and said she would call her mom. After struggling for a few minutes, she finally put on handcuffs and was taken away."

Another witness who was the first to call the police told News1, "I tried to initiate a conversation, but she just stared blankly while holding the dog, blinking her eyes. It seemed like she wasn't aware of the situation. I thought she might have taken drugs instead of alcohol."

This witness also elaborated in the phone interview with News1, "Normally, when there's a traffic accident, I hear a scraping sound rather than a loud thud." The witness continued, "The situation was so severe. The victim was pouring out blood from his head by the bucket-full, and I couldn't do anything. So I tried talking to the lady, and it seemed like she had taken drugs rather than alcohol."

According to police, the victim was a single parent raising a child alone. DJ Yesong debuted as a member of INSTAR in 2019 and has been highly active as a DJ in China.
