On February 23, tvN's upcoming time slip romance drama 'Lovely Runner' revealed a short clip showcasing the height difference between lead stars Kim Hye Yoon and Byun Woo Seok.

More specifically, between Kim Hye Yoon, who is 160 cm (5'3''), and Byun Woo Seok, who is 189 cm (6'4''), there's a 29 cm difference. 

For some netizens, the height difference was a bit "too much". They commented,

"It's too weird... They don't look good together."

"It looks too unnatural."

"I love height differences between the female lead and the male lead but it turned out, it can't be too extreme..."

"Is it really only 29 cm because it looks to me like 40 cm."

"I don't know if this is it y'all."

"Her neck is gonna hurt so much and he's gonna have to bend down all the time."

"This is too much. The casting wasn't smart."

"I don't believe that she's 160 cm."

"The height difference looks awkward, and they also don't even look like high schoolers?"

However, others disagreed, and pointed out that Kim Hye Yoon has starred in a drama with a co-star around the same height as Byun Woo Seok before, when she starred in the 2019 drama 'Extraordinary You' opposite Rowoon (~ 192 cm or 6'4'').

"I'm okay with it because their facial visuals look good together."

"From what I remember, no one had a problem with Kim Hye Yoon and Rowoon in 'Extraordinary You'??"

Meanwhile, 'Lovely Runner' tells the story of a super fan who travels 15-years back in time to save her idol. It's expected to premiere in April of this year.
