ITZY members gave an update on Lia, who is taking a temporary break from activities due to health issues.
On January 8, ITZY held a press conference at the Conrad Seoul Grand Ballroom in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, to mark the launch of their new mini-album 'Born To Be.'
During the event, Yeji expressed her optimism about the beginning of 2024, stating, "It's still early in the year, and I'm delighted with the positive start we've had. Anticipate the stylish moments we've prepared in our 'Born to Be' album."
Yeji also touched upon Lia's hiatus from activities since September of the previous year, addressing her absence from both the new album promotions and the upcoming world tour.
In response, Yeji shared, "Lia gave her support by saying 'I'll keep watching the promotions this time.' With her encouragement, we're fully committed to giving our best in this endeavor. Our aim is to present an even better version of ourselves when Lia returns."
Adding to this sentiment, Chaeryeong emphasized, "To ensure that Lia's absence is minimally felt, we're putting extra effort into preparing for the upcoming world tour."
Meanwhile, ITZY's much-anticipated title track, "Untouchable," blends mid-tempo EDM with powerful guitar sounds within the dance-pop genre. The song is set to be released at 6 PM on the same day.
