Guinness announced that BTS's Jungkook, with his solo single 'Seven,' broke the record for the 'Shortest' time to reach 1 billion streams' on Spotify. He surpassed the global pop star Miley Cyrus's record with 'Flowers,' achieving the milestone in just 112 days, compared to Cyrus's previous record of 109 days before October 30, 2023.
Notably, in August, Jungkook secured two additional Guinness World Records with 'Seven' on Spotify's global chart, achieving the 'Most' weekly streams among all male artists worldwide with 89,748,171 streams and the 'Shortest' time to reach 1 billion streams."
Additionally, back in May, Jungkook rose to the Guinness World Records with another achievement, marking the 'Shortest' time for a K-pop solo artist to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify.
With this latest accomplishment, Jungkook has officially secured a total of 4 Guinness World Records as an individual.
'Seven' topped the Spotify 'Daily Global Top Song' chart for a total of 71 days, setting a record as the 'First' and 'Longest' for an Asian artist. Moreover, it showcased formidable streaming power by securing the 'Longest' period of 9 weeks at the 'First' spot on the Spotify 'Weekly Global Top Song' chart in 2023 among male artists worldwide.
In addition to debuting at 'First' place on the 'Hot 100' main singles chart of the prestigious U.S. music publication Billboard, 'Seven' maintained its dominance by holding the 'First' position for '9 consecutive weeks' on the 'Global (excluding the U.S.)' chart and '7 consecutive weeks' on the 'Global 200' chart.
Furthermore, 'Seven' received platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling over 1 million units in the United States.
Meanwhile, Jungkook continues his golden run in the United States. According to the latest chart released by Billboard on November 14th (Korean time), four songs from BTS Jungkook's solo album 'GOLDEN,' including the title track 'Standing Next to You,' solo single 'Seven' (feat. Latto), '3D' (feat. Jack Harlow), and collaboration with The Kid LAROI and Central Cee 'TOO MUCH,' have entered the main song chart 'Hot 100.'
'Standing Next to You' entered the 'Hot 100' at 5th place, marking Jungkook's 6th appearance on the chart as a solo artist. In this chart, 'Seven' re-entered at 49th place, '3D' climbed 42 steps from the previous week to 58th place, and 'TOO MUCH' ranked 94th.
In addition, three tracks from 'GOLDEN' - 'Yes or No' (4th place), 'Hate You' (7th place), and 'Shot Glass of Tears' (10th place) - made it to the 'Bubbling Under Hot 100.' The 'Bubbling Under Hot 100' ranks songs that narrowly missed entering the main 'Hot 100' chart on Billboard.
