BLACKPINK's LISA continues to collect records to her name on different music platforms around the world, demonstrating why she is considered one of the biggest artists of this decade.
Lisa's chart-topping hit, "Money," has propelled her to stellar heights, earning her unparalleled titles such as "First Asian Act" and "First Kpop Soloist." Despite initially being a B-side track with no direct promotion, it steadily gained traction on YouTube. Owing to its immense global popularity, the song has garnered an astounding 916 million views. This achievement officially crowns "Money" as the most viewed video released by a K-pop act in 2021. With this milestone, it has surpassed BTS's "Butter," which held the record until now which currently stands at 915 million views.
True to Lisa's trailblazing spirit, she didn't stop at just one record-breaking achievement. Her other song, "Lalisa," already made waves by setting a Guinness World Record for the most views on a solo song within its first 24 hours on YouTube. To date, "Lalisa" has amassed an impressive 660 million views, securing its spot as the third most-viewed video by a K-pop act released in 2021.
Thanks to the recent addition of Lisa's "Money" as the most viewed video of 2021 and Jisoo's acclaimed "Flower," who currently holds the record for the most viewed K-pop video of 2023 by a wide margin, BLACKPINK has taken it upon themselves to dominate the YouTube platform. Since 2016 they have the most-viewed K-pop music videos of each year except for 2017 and 2020.

Views as a stand-alone metric are meaningless. They're just vanity numbers.
The sooner fans understand this, the better.
