Lee Hyori recently warned the reason why people need to be careful about speaking rashly.

On September 4, Lee Hyori appeared as a special guest on the YouTube channel 'Jjanhanhyung Shindongyup' and shared the reason why people need to be careful with what they say. She shared, "You continue to change your mind. So, you need to be careful with your words."

Shin Dong Yup then shared, "There was a time Hyori quit drinking. I thought it would last forever. She would even share how good it was to quit drinking." Lee Hyori added, "People need to be careful with their words. I've become too aware of that lately."

She continued, "I decided to do commercials again, you know. I keep changing my mind, but once celebrities say something, it becomes set in stone. You have to be careful with your words," shaking her head.

Shin Dong Yup asked, "What made you change your mind?" and Lee Hyori responded, "At that time, every action had a reason behind it. But now, I've realized that such thoughts can change. It might change again later."

She then also shared that she began filming commercials again after declaring she wouldn't. Her candid reply made the MCs and viewers laugh. Lee Hyori explained she began running out of funds over the years and decided she needed to earn money again. 

Lee Hyori explained, "I'm very grateful, but there were a lot of offers for CFs. There were 3-4 pages of filled castings. I'm just so grateful there are still people requesting for me. I feel so blessed."

Meanwhile, in 2012, Lee Hyori publicly announced her intention to no longer participate in commercial advertising. She had developed a deep interest in animal protection and environmental activism at the time. In line with her beliefs, she chose to follow a vegetarian diet and refrained from using cosmetics that were tested on animals and clothing made from fur.

As a result, she naturally distanced herself from advertising offers in the cosmetics and clothing industries, where the influence of celebrities is substantial. These convictions led to her decision to discontinue appearing in all commercial advertisements.

However, after 11 years, Lee Hyori unexpectedly retracted her decision to stop participating in commercials, stating, "I want to do commercials again," and added, "For advertising inquiries, please contact Antenna Music," leading to a flood of offers from famous brands.
