BTS' V has recently revealed the hard effort he put in during the auditions for Big Hit Entertainment, emphasizing the tremendous dedication he poured into the process.
On September 6, V appeared on the new episode of 'You Quiz on the Block' as a special guest. On this day, V took the opportunity to share about his upcoming solo mini-album 'Layover,' which is slated to be released on September 8.
During the talk show, the global artist talked about various topics, including the story behind how he became a trainee.
Many fans are already well aware that V was cast when he followed his friend to audition at Big Hit Entertainment. MC Yoo Jae Suk brought up the topic by mentioning, "So I heard you made the audition on a whim when you tagged along a friend." V explained, "Yes. My friend said he was going to audition so I tagged along since I wanted to see some Seoul people. And I got lucky."
Yoo Jae Suk pointed out the peculiar situation in which V's friend, who went for the audition, was disqualified, and V qualified for the audition when he didn't intend to.
V clarified, "But I tried harder than you think." He elaborated, "I went there (to the audition), and they asked 'Can you dance?' and I said 'Yes, I can!' I danced. They asked again, 'Can you sing?' and I replied 'Yes!' I sang but they were like 'Hmm.. um, can you do anything else?' So I said ' I can play the Saxophone,' and they said 'Saxophone? Do you have one?' I replied, 'Yes, I do at home. Should I go get it?' I played the saxophone. They said, 'Anything else?' and I did beatboxing."
V's reply made Yoo Jae Suk laugh, and the MC continued, "I'd pick him. 'You have the saxophone?' 'It's at home, you want me to bring it?' His attitude is good." Both Yoo Jae Suk and Jo Se Ho agreed that V was displaying a lot of effort and was most likely recognized for his unrelenting attitude.
