Disney+ original Korean drama series 'Moving' is taking the world by storm.
According to media reports on August 26th, 'Moving' has become the most-watched Korean show on Disney+ in just a week after its release. According to Flix Patrol, 'Moving' was also the number one TV show on the streaming platform in Hong Kong, Japan Singapore, Taiwan, and Korea until August 23rd.
Starring Ryu Seung Ryong, Han Hyo Joo, Jo In Sung, Cha Tae Hyun, and many more star-studded cast members, Disney+ invested more than 50 billion KRW (about 37.8 million USD) in the series. The series tells about story of seemingly ordinary people with secret superpowers. The series consists of 20 episodes. So far, about half of the series has been revealed.
In Korea, many say 'Moving' is giving Disney+ another chance to captivate viewers as the platform has seen a steep increase in subscriber numbers since the drama series was released.
Carol Choi, Disney's head of Original Content Strategy for the Asia Pacific region, commented, "So far the first 11 episodes have transcended regional boundaries, doing much better than what we've expected with audiences across the globe. It's making its mark not only in Korea and the U.S. but all across the Asian Pacific region."
