Mnet has just revealed exciting new information regarding season two of idol survival program 'I-LAND.'
While the original season of 'I-LAND,' which aired back in 2020, was centered around HYBE's creation of the boy group ENHYPEN, 'I-LAND 2' will have female trainees competing for a spot in the next girl group produced by Teddy, founder of YG Entertainment subsidiary THEBLACKLABEL and the producer famously behind BLACKPINK. Having also produced for artists like BIGBANG, 2NE1, Sunmi, and Jeon So Mi, he has attributed largely to the K-pop sound and was named one of Billboard's '50 Greatest Producers of the 21st Century.'
In an announcement video for 'I-LAND 2,' seen below, Mnet revealed that they are accepting online applications from those who want to compete on the show via the website I-LAND2.com through August 6. Girls born before January 1, 2011 may apply and must submit three 1-minute videos – one of them introducing themselves, one of them dancing, and one of them singing or rapping.
Meanwhile, 'I-LAND 2' is set to begin airing in the first half of 2024.
Somi better enjoy her next EP because after that the next one will be out in 2030.
