BLACKPINK's 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' becomes first MV released by a K-pop group to surpass 2.1 billion views

BLACKPINK has just set a new YouTube record!

On July 31 KST, YG Entertainment announced that BLACKPINK's music video for "DDU-DU DDU-DU" surpassed 2.1 billion YouTube views as of 4:27 PM that day, roughly five years and one month after the song's release on June 15, 2018. With this, BLACKPINK has set a record as the first K-pop idol group to have a music video hit this view number.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK just wrapped up the Asia leg of their 'BORN PINK' world tour with encore concerts in Hanoi on July 29 and 30. They will be spending August back in the United States, playing encore performances in four cities.

When you only have 1 comeback a year listeners only have a few songs to stream so those will have many views. What about total views of all songs by groups?
