Professional soccer player Park Joo Ho (36), also known for his appearance on the KBS2 variety program 'The Return of Superman', will be retiring from K-League 1 (South Korea's professional league).
On May 26, Park Joo Ho's team Suwon FC announced that the June 6 match against Ulsan Hyundai FC will also be Park Joo Ho's retirement game.
Park Joo Ho, who made his professional soccer debut in the J2 League playing for Mito HollyHock, went on to play for European teams such as FC Basel, FSV Mainz 05, and Borussia Dortmund from 2011 through 2017, before joining K-League 1 in 2018.
The soccer player also joined the cast of KBS2's 'The Return of Superman' in 2018 and is currently appearing on the program with his daughter Naeun and his sons, Gunhoo and Jinwoo. In November of 2022, his wife Anna revealed that she was battling cancer.
It's believed that Park Joo Ho chose his retirement from professional soccer in order to focus on caring for his wife and children.
