Red Velvet's Yeri is currently in talks to sign an exclusive contract with Blitzway Studio, the agency representing actor Joo Ji Hoon.

According to a Star News report on April 8, Blitzway Studio is positively discussing the possibility of an exclusive contract with Yeri. She recently had a meeting with the agency regarding the contract and is reportedly coordinating the details. A representative from Blitzway Studio confirmed to Star News, "It’s true that we met with Yeri," but remained cautious in their statement.

Blitzway Studio is an entertainment company that manages actors such as Joo Ji Hoon, Jung Ryeo Won, In Gyo Jin, So Yi Hyun, Son Dam Bi, Moon Chae Won, Jung In Sun, Woo Do Hwan, Park Ha Sun, and Yoon Park. With Yeri recently ending her exclusive contract with SM Entertainment, the discussions with Blitzway Studio are seen as a move to focus more on her acting career.

Yeri debuted as a member of Red Velvet in 2015 and has been expanding her career into acting since 2021. She has appeared in productions such as 'Drama Stage – Mint Condition,' 'Blue Birthday,' and 'BITCH X RICH.'

Meanwhile, SM Entertainment announced on April 4 that the exclusive contracts with Red Velvet members Yeri and Wendy had expired. The company stated, "The time we spent with Wendy and Yeri, who have actively promoted not only as members of Red Velvet but also as solo artists, has been a great joy for us. We will cherish all the moments we’ve built together and sincerely support their new beginnings." They added, "Wendy and Yeri will continue to participate in Red Velvet’s group activities with us."
