LE SSERAFIM's Sakura confessed that she had difficulty getting used to the Korean way of greeting people.
In the May 7 episode of the YouTube talk show 'Psick Show,' LE SSERAFIM's Sakura and Huh Yunjin appeared as special guests. On this day, the hosts asked Huh Yunjin if she was born in the United States. She shared, "I was born in Korea but went to the States when I was only eight months old. I lived there most of the time."
When asked if there was anything difficult adjusting to life in Korea, Huh Yunjin shared there wasn't anything particularly challenging because she stayed in Korea for so long.
However, Sakura shared that the greeting etiquette in Korea was something she was unable to get used to. Sakura confessed, "I didn't understand the greeting 'Did you eat?' I wondered 'why do they want to know if I ate? Does that mean I have to eat with them? I was a bit scared to answer, so I always said I ate even though I didn't eat."
In response, host Lee Yong Joo shared, "'Did you eat?' Is like a greeting." Host Jung Jae Hyung added, "These days, the greeting changed. Instead of saying 'Did you eat?' You say 'you lost weight. That's the trendy way to greet in Seoul right now."
Did you lose weight? It seems to me that this is a bad greeting option...
