BTS member Kim Taehyung, aka V, is receiving explosive attention with his variety show debut.
After Episode 1 of tvN’s new unscripted variety show 'Jinny's Kitchen' aired on February 24, Taehyung dominated the week's list of the most buzzworthy non-drama TV appearances.
Good Data Corporation published its latest rankings of the most buzzworthy Korean content of the week. The rankings are determined by analyzing data from news articles, blog posts, online communities, videos, and social media posts about shows that are currently airing or set to air soon.
Here are Good Data's rankings for Week 4 of February.
Despite having little exposure outside BTS group activities until the latter part of 2022, Taehyung is proving to be a natural-born entertainer, thanks to his unfiltered personality and good chemistry with the 'Jinny's Kitchen' cast.
Earlier this week, Nielsen revealed that the 1st episode of 'Jinny's Kitchen'had recorded an average of 10.3% ratings for the Seoul metropolitan area and 8.8% ratings for cable shows nationwide.
It ranked the #1 most-watched entertainment program on National and Cable TV on February 24.
On the Korean streaming platform TVING, 'Jinny's Kitchen' ranked #1 in the Real-Time Popular Programs, surpassing the drama series 'Island'.
It also ranked #1 in Popular Live Channels with a real-time view rating of 92%.
'Jinny's Kitchen' (also 'Seojin's Korean Street Food') is currently available every Friday for international fans through Amazon’s global OTT Prime Video.
