As the competition to become a celebrity grows harder and harder each day, it's important now for a Korean star to be well-rounded. A singer has to do more than just "sing well"; an actor has to do more than just "act well." There are so many "good" singers and actors, but their talent in multiple areas is what sets them apart from other stars.

Another area where celebrities have a niche in their talent is the art field. The Korean entertainment industry actually has many artistic celebrities -- in fact, there are several that graduated from an art university, displaying their true talent in art!

Today -- we'll be taking a look at some celebrities who studied art in college. We would have never expected some of these celebrities to study art, but they are proud artists, and it's time to give them some recognition! Beenzino

Beenzino is already hip with his music, and we can see where it comes from! He studied sculpture at Seoul National University, but he wanted to focus on music, ultimately dropping out. 

Go Yoon Jung

Go Yoon Jung studied modern art at Seoul Women's University, and she was even selected as a model for their magazine! 

Park Ki Woong

Park Ki Woong studied visual design at Daejin University, and he currently also has been active in the art community recently as well!

Moon Chae Won

Moon Chae Won studied Western Painting at her university before pursuing a career in acting. She was famous for being pretty at school, according to her old peers! 

Shin Hyun Bin

Shin Hyun Bin studied art theory at the Korea National University of Arts. Though she has an admiration for art, she says she adores acting more than art now.

Jang Do Yeon

Did you know Jang Do Yeon studied visual design at Kyunghee University before she began her career? She said she was even active in the advertising club!

Yoon Seung A

Yoon Seung A studied art textiles at Chosun University -- during her time in college, she was recruited on the streets, and that's how she began her career as an actress!

Jang Bum June

Jang Bum June studied animation at Sangmyung University, and he even won awards in art competitions during his time at college! 

It's crazy to see how life turns out, and seeing these stars' beginnings just tells us that we never know where life is headed. We can also say that it's so great to see stars so multitalented in different areas, and it shows that these people aren't celebrities for no reason. They truly have the skill and talent to be on television, and we can't disagree at all.
