BTS member Kim Taehyung, aka V, proved his strength as a solo artist by achieving the highest-ranked male idol solo song in the Top 100 of the 2022 Global K-Pop Circle Chart.

The annual Global K-Pop Circle Chart (formerly Gaon Chart) is a music chart certified by the Korea Music Contents Association that is weighted and aggregated by domestic streaming, downloads, and BGM sales.

Taehyung's OST "Christmas Tree" ranked #34 in the Top 100 chart, the highest ranking for a male idol, and the second-highest for a male solo singer after PSY's "That That." The OST was also the highest among male idol solo songs in the annual 'Download Chart' ranking at #38. 

"Christmas Tree" was also the highest-charting solo song by a BTS member on Melon 2022 Yearly Chart, ranking at #93 in the Domestic Song Chart and #99 in the Overall Song Chart.

The OST "Christmas Tree" for the K-drama series "Our Beloved Summer" earned excellent results on both the domestic and international music charts upon release, cementing Taehyung's status as the "King of OSTs." 

In Spotify's "2022 Wrapped" year-end chart, "Christmas Tree" was named the most streamed Korean drama OST and male K-pop solo song in 2022. 

In addition, "Christmas Tree" was the first Korean OST to enter the US Billboard's main chart "HOT 100," the first Korean OST to top the Billboard digital song sales chart, and the winner of the Brazil 'PAK Awards' 'OST of the Year Award' in 2022.
